Your privacy is important to us at Lead Impact. For this reason, we collect and use only the personal data which is necessary for us to match you with a provider of the service you are requesting (for example a provider of a flight delay compensation company).
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you so that we can provide the best possible match for the service you have requested. Much of what you likely consider personal data is collected directly from you when you apply for one of the many products and services offered by our partners and affiliates. The information we typically collect is as follows:
The information we collect from you is nothing more than the fields you are asked to complete while filling in the application form for the product you’re interested in. We do not collect any secret or hidden information in the background. The only information passed to our system is that which you have explicitly provided, plus your IP Address (which is essentially the address of your computer and/or internet service provider – we use this to help verify that the application is genuine and not a hoax).
What do we do with your information?
We are in the business of finding service providers who offer the service in which you have expressed interest. Our contract with these providers forms the legal basis for our collecting and processing your personal information. We also aim to fulfil this promise in the shortest possible time and to match you with licensed and/or authorized providers of these services who are our trusted partners in this business.
When you apply for a product, you are first asked to give your consent for Lead Impact to process your information. This processing involves finding a service provider who best matches your needs (this is why we sometimes ask for additional information beyond just name, address etc.). Your information is transmitted securely to our system which then tries to match it with a provider of the service you have requested. If the match is successful, your information is then transmitted securely from our system to theirs. This happens within the first few seconds immediately following your application. All of these transfers use secure and encrypted SSL technology so that your personal data is transferred securely.
Who else do we share your information with?
After your information has been transferred to one of our carefully selected partners, a copy is retained securely in our system for internal record keeping and reporting. We do not remarket, re-use, sell or share your information with anyone else outside of own administration.
How long do we keep it for?
Your full set of information (all that you provided during the application process) is retained in our system for 90 days. After this time, your full set of personal data is deleted from our system and a small reference is retained for as long as is necessary to maintain adequate and accurate business and financial records. This minimal information is kept under the legal basis of legitimate interest.
How do we keep your data safe?
We protect your personal information using technical and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration. Some of the safeguards we use are data encryption, physical access controls to our data centres, and information access authorisation controls.
Your right to control your personal data
We respect your right to access, correct, request deletion or request restriction of our usage of your personal information as required by applicable law. We also take steps to ensure that the personal information we collect is accurate and up to date.
To make a request in regard to any of the above rights, you may contact us at email@example.com or by mail at 27 Hendford, Advertising House, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 1UN.
We will respond to all requests, inquiries or concerns within thirty (30) days.
